Disco and I spent a wonderful week in Bute with my family. We stayed in the very impressive Stravannan South house which is a converted farmhouse part of the Mount Stuart Estate.

Disco and Zenner spent a lot of time observing the cows that lived in the field on our doorstep, which was fairly exhausting.

We also explored the many Bute-iful bays that grace the coastline of the isle, got stranded in Colintrive and taught Zenner how to swim. Disco earned the title of fire warden by lighting the stove every evening and making the house really toasty warm for our evening jenga and uno ritual.

Perhaps, most competitively, was the ‘come dine with me’ style dinners that we partook in every evening. Each family member was paired with another and prepared 2/3 courses to delight the other “guests”. Results to be announced…
